Careers with Kintish
Previous employee testimonials
Kerryn Duckworth, Events and Marketing Co-ordinator, March 2008 - November 2008
When first accepting employment at Kintish, I had no idea what I was letting myself in for! My first opportunity to work in the events and marketing industry was daunting and scary and a step into the real world with my first ‘proper job.’ What made it easier was that it was at Kintish.
I couldn’t of asked for a better bunch of people to work with. I was given responsibility from day one although help and assistance was always only a few feet away. Every day was a chance to view my ideas and develop existing ones. Probably the best thing about Kintish was opportunities to develop myself – including attending one of the (soon to be) World renowned Kintish networking seminars presented by the man himself. This will not only help me with my future professional career but also my personal life too (and all those awkward family get togethers!)
My time at Kintish has been invaluable and I positively believe that I would not have been able to achieve my new role without the experience that I have gained here. I have also thoroughly enjoyed the experiences it has given me and have always felt like one of the team.
Anna Clegg-Kay, Events and Marketing Co-ordinator, August 2006 - February 2008
I started working for Kintish in August 2006. I was fresh out of University and looking for my first “real” job in a marketing-related role!
I was so pleased when I was offered the job and eager to start as soon as possible. I received a warm welcome from everybody on the team and that put me at ease straight away! I soon built strong working-relationships with my colleagues, who have actually become some of my closest friends since leaving last year.
It was a challenging experience learning the ropes when I first started, but help was always on offer! I was soon given my own projects to manage and encouraged to be innovative in the way we do things. That’s one of the great things about working at Kintish – you are always given plenty of opportunities to show what you’re made of!
I left university with a Marketing degree and thought I knew my stuff. But it was my time at Kintish that really gave me an insight into the real world of marketing and events organising. This job is great for a graduate looking to get into one of these areas. There is so much that you can get involved in on a day-to-day basis.
I still think of myself as part of the “Kintish family” and I think I always will! I had a fabulous time working as part of a team and the things I learned during my time there are invaluable to me.
Claire Williams, Events and Marketing Co-ordinator, July 2007 - May 2009
When I graduated in 2007 I was lucky enough to secure a position with Kintish as an Events and Marketing Coordinator. From day one I was given my own marketing projects and events to manage, it was very much a case of ‘hit the ground running’ which is exactly what you need when entering work after graduating; the learning curve within the first week was pretty much vertical! The team at Kintish is often regarded as ‘the Kintish family’, and that’s exactly what it is – from the offset I felt part of the Kintish family and was given support and encouragement from my colleagues and managers. The weekly team meetings ensure that everybody is up to speed with each other’s various campaigns and projects and if there was anything I needed there was always a helping hand nearby.
My experience at Kintish has also helped me focus my career and personal and professional development; I am moving to a position within marketing and will also be studying my Chartered Institute of Marketing qualification in September. My role within Kintish has helped me identify where my strengths lie and what I enjoy in a job and without the experience I have gained at Kintish I am certain I would not have been able to secure my new role. A role within Kintish really is a fantastic starting point for anyone who wishes to pursue a career in the marketing or events field.
